Landline showcase equine program

Cody and Ayda are interviewed

There was much excitement last Wednesday and Thursday when ABC Television’s Landline crew visited our school  to film a story on our Equine Program and Project Plans to build an Agriculture and Equine Centre.

Video journalist, Craig Berkman and sound recordist Graham Chadwick, interviewed staff and students regarding equine studies, horse riding and plans for the  Agriculture and Equine Centre. They also filmed at several other locations including the Mantova’ Family property with Steve and Jack displaying great horsemanship skills; Dick Collier at home with his horses talking about added benefits that students gain from human / horse interaction; and Charlotte and Lester White’s breeding and training facilities, where Year 9 students took in an excursion and breeding information session with Veterinarian, John Barnwell.

The Landline crew were also able to see the community support for the project over lunch with local project advocates. The program will be aired during the next 2 - 6 weeks.
