On October 19th 2018 Clifton SHS will be hosting
the second annual Clifton SHS STEMfest.
The purpose of this event is to engage students and the
greater community in a range of STEM related activities with the aim of
encouraging a greater understanding of and appreciation for Science,
Technology, Engineering and Math.
There will be a range of exhibitions and activities to
participate in on the day, but our main event will be the Clifton Cart
Challenge!
The Clifton Cart Challenge is an opportunity for students
and community members to put their design and engineering skills to the test by
building and racing their own Pushcart.
The Clifton Cart Challenge is open to both school students
and community members with a range of race formats and categories to suit.
If you are interested in designing, building and racing your
own pushcart, please read and complete all of the following:

rules and regulations: For more information on the race formats,
categories, design specifications and rules, please read the Clifton Cart Challenge Rules.

Design
specifications: The following printout is a basic guide of the minimum
design requirements for each pushcart - Cart Design Specifications.

Cart registration
form: While we encourage all teams to design and build their own cart, it is
acceptable to share carts between teams. To register your cart and teams please
complete the following registration form.
All teams, team members and race categories must be identified on the
cart registration form. Failure to do so may result in your team being unable
to participate.

Participant
permission form: All students and community members must complete the event
participation permission form. Only those who have completed this form will be
permitted to participate in the event.
