Curriculum, teaching and learning audit
As part of an initiative to improve student learning in Queensland state schools, Teaching and Learning Audits are conducted in every Queensland state school to provide quality feedback on how the school is performing and to inform school planning processes.
The audits are usually carried out every four years or following the appointment of a new school principal. During the audit, an independent, experienced school principal visits the school to collect a range of data and information about school practices, programs and procedures in the area of teaching and learning.
Congratulations must go to our entire school community for its participation and commitment to our Curriculum, Teaching and Learning Audit. The school has performed very well in all audit domains with special commendations being received for our exemplary practice in Junior Secondary and for our outstanding work with Community Partnerships. Special mention was also made of our Equine Program and of our student pride in their school.
Special thanks to our SRC members and community members who attended a special morning tea and lunch with our Auditor to provide her with student leadership and community perspectives on our school. The Auditor also made special mention of our amazing gains since our first audit in Semester 1, 2010. we do indeed have a lot to be proud of and it is wonderful to celebrate such a success story.
