The Clifton State High School Support Team includes our Support Staff: Guidance Officer, School Chaplain, Youth Support Coordinator, School Based Youth Health Nurse and Social Worker.
To ensure coordination of student support in social, emotional, behavioural, health and academic areas, our Principal, Deputy Principal, Heads of Department and Head of Special Education Services are also members of our Support Team.
Referrals & Appointments with Support Staff
Students may be referred to one of our Support Staff by parents or school staff, or they may self refer.
Should parents or guardians wish to discuss any issues concerning their child, an appointment booking system is maintained through the office. Appointments may be in person or by phone.
Students may wish to self refer to a Support Staff member. Students can make appointments through the office. Alternatively, they may also make an appointment directly with the Support Staff member they wish to see.
Coordinating Student Support
In order to coordinate student support, our Support Staff attend regular Support Team Meetings and will provide an overview of recent supports they have provided to certain students. Some students will receive support from more than one Support Team member. In these situations, the student may be assigned a Case Manager.
